Couchy helps you keep track of television you are watching, decide what to put on tonight, and chat about it with a friend as it airs. It is provided by Carat International LLC.
You must be at least 13 years old. Use it for its intended purpose and do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or use it to harass anyone.
Couchy needs an account. You choose a name and a password, and you are responsible for keeping that password to yourself. Tell us if you believe someone else is using your account. Your library, everything you have marked watched and everything you have saved is stored on your own device and in your own private iCloud, not on our servers.
Messages and reactions you send in a chat party are visible to everyone else in that room, and other people can read, screenshot or repeat them. Do not send anything you would not want them to keep. What you post is yours and stays yours; by posting it you give us permission to show it to the other people in that room and to store it long enough to do that, and nothing more.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour here. You may not send anything that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, that sexualises a minor in any way, that encourages self harm or violence, that impersonates somebody else, that is spam, or that infringes anyone's rights. You may not use a chat party to spoil an episode for somebody who has told you they have not seen it.
You can report a message or a person from inside the app, and you can block somebody at any time, which removes them from your friends, stops them contacting you and stops them seeing anything about you.
We review every report we receive and we aim to act within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we may remove the content, remove the person from a room, suspend their account or delete it outright, and we do not have to warn them first. Accounts removed for abuse are not entitled to a refund of any unused subscription time. You can also report anything to us directly at support@caratinternational.net.
Titles, artwork, air dates and synopses come from a third party catalogue and belong to their respective owners. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Streaming availability is supplied by JustWatch through that same catalogue. It varies by country and changes without notice, so treat it as a pointer rather than a promise. Where to watch data provided by JustWatch.
Air dates come from that catalogue and change often. Reminders are scheduled on your device from the dates we have. We cannot promise a date is correct or that a reminder arrives, and you should not rely on Couchy for anything that matters.
Couchy is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Carat International LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
Couchy requires a paid subscription. It is $2.99 a month, billed through your Apple Account, not by us. New customers get their first month free: the free month starts when you subscribe, and when it ends the subscription begins automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before. It renews every month until you stop it. Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings, where you can also see the renewal date. Apple handles billing and refunds, so refund requests go to Apple rather than to us.
We may change these terms. If the substance changes we will ask you to accept the new version.
